Just picked this up as it was in the "Everything For £5" campaign, that's about 7.5€ here, which is a great price for this little gem! Really liking this band, not much like Blink182, which is good :) Not usually a huge fan of modern rock but this is one of the exceptions.
The booklet is cool too with some pictures and lyrics to all the tracks. Favorite tracks: Do It For Me Now and The Adventure.

First and formost, this is different to blink, for all you people expecting it to be similar. Anyway, it's awesome!!!. The effects are just astonoshing and when they work so well together like in the opener valkyrie missile, the adventure and a little's enough, it really makes you tingle al over!!!! This is more than just an album, it's a feeling. Honestly, you need this!!!!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars The best album ever recorded, in my opinion.

Where do I start? I bought this the day it was released, and I was amazed when I first listened to it from start to finish. All the way from cinematic over the top opener Valkyrie Missile, to the epic, chilling and passionate closer Start the Machine, this album is just incredible. If you know the whole story behind Tom DeLonge leaving blink-182, and everything he went through afterwards, than you'll be able to fully appreciate and understand this albums story and meaning. And if you don't know anything about that, I recommend you watch the Angels & Airwaves documentary Start the Machine. It explains in full detail what Tom went through and what he wanted to achieve through making this album. He described his life at the time of the blink-182 break up as "my own personal war", which is why the album contains alot of war imagery and lyrical content. This album is something that has never been done before, and never will be done again, by anyone else. This is an album that will change your life, no matter what anyone says. It's the one album that has honestly affected my life. Buy it. It's amazing.

First heard 'The Adventure' and it struck me as the illegitimate son of 'Flock and Seagulls' and 'Blink 182' and I thought I wasn't going to like the album. But it has really grown on me and CD is now without doubt one of my favourites. A guilty pleasure? Maybe, but its well worth several listens, then you'll be hooked.

After gettin Time to sit down and really listen 2 this album its not as bad as wot people are sayin. Do it for me now, The Adventure, The War and Start The Machine are the better songs. The Bonus song The machine is Start The Machine but with a more Rock sound to it and the Live song is Pretty good as well. Other songs on there have similar sounds to them. And The Gift has the sound of Blink 182's Down.To sum it all up Its a good album over all

I Cant believe how much this album has been over hyped to be honest its an Ok album with prehaps 2/3 goods songs on it. The Adventure is by far the best song here too but seems to have been copied 9 times for the other songs. Id only get this album if you where a die hard tom fan, whereas if you were a blink fan id go for when your heart stops beating as it has a much more 'blink like' sound on it.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars i worship tom

This album is incredible...
Every song on this CD is huge for me.
The whole concept of this album is to sound HUGE and EPIC, and it truely achieves that.
If your willing to keep an open mind, give it your time and attention, and wholly embrace the music how Tom Delonge wants you to, then you will find some really influential songs for you.
There are some more accessible songs such as The Adventure (which has one of the best guitar lines i have EVER heard) and It Hurts, but the entire album has songs that you will delve into and still find refreshing and relevent months, even years, later...
Some who are a bit impatient will be bored and immediately dismiss this feeling there is a lack of variety.
But listen to my reminder from before and youll be rewarded. There is the scintilating, goosebump inducing guitar of The Adventure, the powerful rock stomp of The War, and the vastness of the opener Valkyrie Missile, balanced with the more simple Good Day, which still maintains the echoing soundscape of the rest of the album, with one musical piece sounding like the scattering of the stars themselves.
I cant praise this album enough, but i will warn that you do have to be atleast 90% committed to it to appreciate it.
