Battling Giants

Bens Brother are one of my more relaxing bands that I really enjoy listening to and they write excellent songs. With the first Bens Brother album Beta Male Fairytales the main subject matter of the songs was very much to do with a relationship break up. That subject matter is still here a little with such songs as Apologise and Should I Believe You? which are both great songs. Overall this is a more happy album with great lyrics and some wonderful relaxing tunes. I really like the track Stalemate with "Joss Stone" singing with them and if you liked their first album then I see no reason why you would'nt enjoy this one too.

Simply fantastic, great follow on from the previous album, really interesting to try and figure out what the next single will be, "if i let the ladder down" is my fav so far, but i have only had it less than 12 hours so i'm not gonna "apologise" lol

Bought the CD after hearing it on Radio 2. Took a stab as never heard of the band before. All tracks really good. Especially like the one featured on Radio 2 - track 1 Apologise. Also track 3 St Alemate featuring Joss Stone. Very listenable album, rest of the tracks are also very good. Can't stop playing it.

I have both albums, just fantastic stuff. 1st caught them live at V Fesrival 2007 I think it was, total fluke really but have since seen them twice more, last time in Manchester a few weeks ago.

I did a review for their first album, Beta Male Fairytales and I thought they could never manage to top that album. I was wrong!!! This album is an absolute gem. It's an excellent mix and there are so many brilliant songs on that it's hard to pick a few so I'm not even going to try! Buy it! Talent like this needs to be supported! I now would buy anything that this band produced without first hearing it, just on the strength of their first two albums. You can do no wrong boys! Thank you Ben's Brother!
