This album has all the best Green Day songs ever! A must buy for green day fans if they haven't got albums like Nimrod, Warning and Dookie as it's the same songs.

This is a great album and should be added to the collection of every punk fan! Only hardcore fans should buy all of their albums, but for your average fan this is easily the one to have
It is basically a selection of green days best hits, pre-american idiot. This gives the album a much more punky feel, after listening to AI and has wide a range of great songs that the trio have produced. Some songs have a lighter feel , while some are closer to Rock ad roll, but this is not a bad thing and will keep you entertained.
The best green day album around!

This is the first Green Day album i bought about 5/6 years ago, and now i'm a massive fan! If you're just getting into Green Day or want to, i recommend this as an insight into their past albums, especially if you can't afford to buy them, like i couldn't! Don't just stop there though, if you enjoyed all the songs on this album you're probably going to enjoy the rest of their songs too!

This is effectively a Green Day greatest hits Album, It provides the perfect start for anyone who wants to get into Green Day as this is a collection of their best songs to date. This album was released Pre American Idiot so don't expect to find and of that on there, and i think it carries a much lighter tone; these are songs about masturbation rather then political songs. Personally, I Wouldn't Buy this album If you own all of Green Day's old material, cos you would already have all the songs. Overall I love it and it is probably one of the most played cds in my collection... It would be rude not to buy it...

Greenday were a great band. What made Greenday so special was their ability to wrap the ethos of punk into a catchy 3 minute pop song. Singles from 'Dookie' up until 'Warning' are all represented here in their perfection.
Its such a shame that they lost touch with that same punk ethos for the crass, politically correct 'American Idiot'. Billy Joe was alot more believable before he turned into a Bono wannabe, now everything he sings just feels like fake posturing. Still, this album proves that when Greenday were on top form nobody could touch them.
before greenday got pretentious

before greenday got annoying, started to pretend they were bob dylan, started wearing eyeliner and wearing red ties with black shirts - they had some good songs...
they have some gems such as the brilliant 'when i come around' .. but everysince they released that american idiot rubbish they have got annoying and even the older, better, stuff does my head in...
