The CD only arrived today but I love it already and its just as good as their three previous albums and I hope they make more in the future. Dallas's vocals are dead on perfect as always and the use of his vocals are timed really well into the songs as always. The screamo is still the best ive ever heard and I think Its absolutely amazing.

Overall I give Young Cardinals two thumbs up and fully reccommend it to anyone who is interested.

 Excellent Album

I only purchased this recently, after hearing mixed reviews from people i knew. I really liked 'Crisis' so i thought what the hell i'd buy it anyway. Boy, am i glad i did! Since the first time i put this on my stereo i can't get enough. Personally i think that the first half of the album is stronger, but the second half is still good. My personal favourites are Old Crows, Young Cardinals, Sons of Privilege, Born and Raised, The Northern and Midnight Regulations. This is the best album i bought in 2009 and i recommend it highly.

 a must have album

alexisonfire are my all time fave band and this album is a corker. guitarist wade macneil seems to nail is on the first song.

in crisis hearing him shout "this is from our hearts" sends shivers down my spine everytime

and this time in the song old crows, again wade's smokey voice shouting "we are not the kids we use to be" sets the tone on the album.

a main difference is Georges vocal style. he's going from his barks of anger to a more growling voice which works with the guitar riffs, which seem rather less precise as they were in crisis, but still amazing.

some alexis fans have slated this album saying it's rubbish they have changed their sound, but every young band should be given a chance to grow up, this is the sound they were hoping for, and i'm happy when their happy.

i saw some of the songs playing live when i went to the 3 london boarderline shows and they fit in perfectly in to the set and they are well worth checking out at reading or leeds, or on thier tour with anti flag in october.

BUY THIS ALBUM
the highlights are

Old crows
Sons of privledge
Emereld street
accept crime

reading the other review by Sophie Stratford

just to clarify alexisonfire are canadian not american and they make this clear in the song "sons or privledge"

"sweet lady liberty, your are lost yet you are free, and what hides beneith, can't tell the wolves from the sheep"

 More excellence

Ok, so I'm a biased big fan of this band, but maybe that makes it harder to impress me with each release. This album is everything Alexisonfire are capable of, gutterall agressive punk, through to melodic soothing harmony. If you in any way enjoyed Crisis then just buy this simply put, it's excellent I can not stop listening to it.
