This is such a great album, has much more melody and groove then any of there other albums they done, a truly unique devildriver release whilst mainting that legendary sound they have.
To make a start, The production quality of this album is the best ive ever heard for a metal album to date!
this release really catches the full force of the band and what they are trying to deliver on this album, they are really pushing metal in a positive direction and are further ahead of most other melodic brutal groove metal..... (what ever you wana call it) bands.
It sets the bench mark for all other bands out there at the moment!
The guitar work has a nice cleaner sound to it whilst staying heavy and not too oversaturated, allowing you to feel to full force of some trully sick riffs. there is plenty of melody and harmonys along with some really thick and heavy sounding riffs which goves the album a perfect balance... and the solos are jaw droppingly technical and perfect!
The perfect production and sound of the drum tracks leaves you in pure amazment of how powefull they are and the raw pace and technical skill John Boecklin has, this album and has taken his drumming up a level.
Dez has changed his vocals slightly and this album showing more emotion and melody blended with his more usuall agressive style.... songs like "its in the cards and " pure sincerity " and " ressurection blvd" really show his wide range of hard vocals
The DVD is fantastic aswell, you get to see how hard the guys work at perfecting there ideas in the beautifull surrounding of a california costline (which gives the album a really good feelling and vibe)
This album will not let you down, just a pure eargasm from start to finish.... i could go on all day about it but if you are a fan of thrash metal, groove metal, melodic death metal.... whatever you wana call it you must but this album and enjoy!
