     great ambient album

The album 'Wait For Me' comes in 3 flavours: Wait For Me, Wait For Me Remixes and Wait For Me Ambient. Search for all of them on Play.com and get them all if you can.

Of the 3 flavours, this original one is the best. A sublime and heartfelt set of songs which are hypnotic and lovely to listen to. Wait For Me is an exhibition of Moby in his chilled out, slightly sad mood, which reflects in the somewhat downbeat tone of the tracks. A beautiful collection of tunes. 'JLTF' is a profoundly moving song and one of his best ever, in my opinion. 'Pale Horses' is one of his most tragically sad songs, even more so than his earlier works 'Why Does My Heart...' or 'Porcelain'. Others like 'Study War' have a somewhat old-school or minimalist feel to them, showing Moby's refusal to conform to changing trends in pop music and steadfastly doing his own thing regardless.

The Ambient version of this CD takes it down a notch or two and strips the tunes to even softer more soothing levels, so laid back they are practically horizontal. The Remixes album attempts to make dancey tracks of them, via collaborations with the likes of Carl Cox and Tiesto... with mixed results.

The entire Wait For Me trilogy is a must-have set. Buy this one and then get the rest.

I have 18, Play, Hotel, Everything is wrong and this album is by far the best. A personal favourite is Scream Pilots, Study War and Wait for Me. I highly recommend this album as well as Hotel if you have money to spend. This is Moby back to his best. The Ultimate Mellow album!

    Enjoy!!

Normally when an artist tries to re-capture the sprit of a popular piece like Play, it doesn't work. But Moby has pulled it off. This album will not disappoint.! Reading previous reviews on this site, I was expecting much and was still surprised how good this album sounds. A technically well recorded and produced album.

     Dark but euphoric

This album is Moby. It covers a broad range of genre from classical to almost rock. Probably the closest to Play he will ever make with Pale Horses being Why Does My Heart....part 2 and Study War being a match for several Play tracks.

Overall its a really good album, better than Hotel and Last Night.
