This is an amazing album, currently can't stop listening to it. Bought it on the strength of the track sweet disposition which I heard on a film, and so glad I did. The track Soldier On is in my opinion one of the best songs I have ever heard. It's one of those albums that would appeal to a wide range of musical tastes. Get it, you won't be dissapointed.

"Sit up and Take notice" stuff.

I'm a late comer to this album, like the majority I was introduced to Temper Trap after their brilliant first mainstream release of "Sweet Disposition" and have just recently received this album. "The sound" of this band the other reviewers are talking about is distinctive with no other mainstream comparisons that can be drawn.

Genuinely never wanted to skip through one track on the first playthrough of the album which is rare these days, I was honestly held for the entire length of the album. I would say the strongest part of the album is the first half. The reason it is not a 5/5 album I think would be because its a victim of success. I cant speak for everyone but I prefer albums that end memorably with a final track or couple of tracks that really close the album significantly. But because the content of the album is genuinely impressive the ending falls away a little maybe it only being a 10 track recording. But all things considered this album, this band and this sound is well worth a purchase. I'm looking forward to seeing where they go from here. 4/5

     Ambience in plenty

The most admirable asset of The Temper Trap, most evident in Conditions as a body of work, is their early ability to establish a certain style. The echo filled guitar along with falsetto vocals in their hit track Sweet Disposition is already becoming a fast favourite of listeners in search of ambience.

Conditions proves that the band are reassuringly a competent and skilled collective of musicians, and amongst the barrage of echo and delay, showcases constructive pop sensibilities suitably laced with new age/rock touches.

     Great album! Great Group

Like most people, it was the Sweet Disposition track that lured me into buying this album. It is entertaining and that song is certainly representative of the rest of the album. For me though, there's just not enough diversity to listen to it all the way through. Mixed in with other tracks, or just on in the background its fine, but I don't think I'll get more that a dozen plays out of it.

     Fabulous!

Bought this as a present for a friend, and couldn't resist having a sneaky listen before I wrapped it up! I only hope they love it as much as I do! Fabulous range of tracks with no one track letting the side down. If you loved 'Sweet Disposition' you will love this album. Buy it, take the phone off the hook, and enjoy.

     Amazing!!

I purchased this album based on hearing 'sweet disposition' a few times on the radio and I have not been disappointed... it's amazing! For me Temper Trap are Bloc Party meets Orson meets Royworld meets Doves. Great vocals and 'tight' musically..... I can't wait to see them live! Like great music? Buy this album now!!

     Quite simply awesome

Great debut album, had only heard sweet disposition and purchased on the basis of that. Wasn't disappointed. If you are like me and sick to death of current chart music/x-factor then this won't let you down. Lead singer has sensational voice, and all songs sound different and fresh. Let's hope temper trap capture fans so they keep going!

     At last a fresh sound....

Amazing Album, atmospheric/emotional with an intelligent use of vocals, guitar, drums, timing and clever writing..... infulences from Pink Floyd, U2, Madchester, Bloc Party, The Cure but clearly unique in its own right.

The lead singer Dougy Mandagi has a distinctive voice that compliments the bands style....

Loved it on the first listen and it is growing, definatley my album of 2009.....

...Rest..soldier on... are songs that will emerse you....

     Great
