I love Alphabeat and they didn't let me down with this new album......you just want to dance soon as you hear their beats, DJ & Heatwave are just 2 awsome songs from this album !!!!

Great album very Pop sounding...

80s sounding great album and great lyrics... good to sing along to...

Loved the first album but this one is different and better... Lets hope this Record company are Better to them! :) New Image and new tracks...

When Alphabeat first appeared in 2008, they were a refreshing six-piece that produced bubblegum indie pop tracks such as "fascination" "what is happening?" and "boyfriend". Two years on, and the chirpy Danish band have changed direction, resurrecting 90s dance pop nostalgia - and they've taken to it surprisingly well.

"The Spell" and "Hole In My Heart" are by far the best tracks on the album, though sadly they're right at the beginning.But I did see Alphabeat live supporting Lady GaGa on her Monster Ball Tour and they were phenominal. If you love cheese, you'll love The Beat Is....

And after the 1980s fun filled energy of their debut 'This is Alphabeat' the group have returned with another slice of pure energy - this time straight from the early 1990s!!! With a heavy dose of that era electro-dance rythym at play their infectious tunes work another dose of magic on anybody who wants to give them a go!

First single 'The Spell' and new track 'Hole in my Heart' are a really good barometer for the album as a whole. Other tracks which are early favourites are 'DJ', 'Always up with You', 'Q&A' and 'The Right Thing'. The only track I couldn't get into was 'Chess' which was a bit messy to my ears.

I managed to catch them last year on their mini-tour and will be seeing them again soon on their new tour, and their cover of 'Ain't Nobody' is a really good version from a band that are always able to energise the crowds they play to!

I give it five stars for simple cheer factor!!
