     A Crime Against Music

I can only assume the two reviewers who've given this 5 stars have never heard the originals. Craid David is not fit to clean the boots of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Al Green, The Temptations etc, let alone attempt to cover their songs. Even people which much better pedigree than him would struggle to add anything to these classics - it's pretty much impossible to improve on perfection. If you genuinely want to have these songs in your record collection - which you should - do yourself the biggest favour and buy the originals! There are plenty of great soul compilations out there so why go for the cheap souless imitation?

What an Album. A must buy!

Seriously NO idea what 'GenuineSoulFan' is on. He is clearly not a Genuine soul fan if he has even listened to this as this album is very very good. Craig David always said he didn't want to as such outshine the originals, just pay homage to them, put his own thing on them. It's what his parents used to play night and day when he was a kid and each song inspired him. Craig David has got alot of bad press, unfairly I think. And apart from arguably his 4th studio album, 'Trust Me', each album has been very good. The negative press has hampered the career of one of the best voices the UK has ever produced. This is not merely a cover album. It's quite the work of art. If you don't like the album from listening to it openly then fair play, but alot of people weak enough to jump on a bandwagon won't even listen to this because its easy to jump on Craig David's back. The man is a UK gem. His first album was voted 2nd best album of all time for pitys sake! Give this album a chance, you will not be disappointed

     What a great vocal performance

This album finds Craig getting back to his roots, and connecting to the words he sings. The outcome is breathtaking. The feeling is all inspiring. A cd that finds CD connecting with the message of the song, and backed up by solid vocals.
A must buy cd, if you have unanswered questions in your dramatic lives.
