X-MEN: The Last Stand (CD version).
Making use of an 80+ piece orchestra, and a massive choir, Powell provides his biggest score yet. While not necessarily his best, it certainly showcases the scale the man can write on. Finally adding what the previous two movie scores missed - a definite theme - Powell makes full use of a large brass and string ensemble for one that would even make Superman proud. Cues such as ''St. Lupus Day'' and ''Attack On Alcatraz'' make full use of the orchestra, choir, and anvils, providing some exciting action music, however some may find the amount of instrument lines a little overbearing. Powell fans should certainly get it, but if you're a casual soundtrack collector you should probably check out the score in the film before hand.
