Last Splash (CD version).
You'll already know a couple of these songs, one at least was used on MTV, but wait there's so much more. Each track has a different mood and they range from full on fuzzy guitars to an almost folkish feel. Two things they all share are Kim Deal's vocal, I don't know where it's from but I love that accent, that and the effortless cool that just falls from every track. It's like emotion rather than music.
First few times of listening I thought it was a bit odd, but this is a very accessable album and I got into it really quickly. That said it's still a favorite and I'm still trying to work out some tracks. I've used this as a gift for Rock Chics, Hippies, Skater Dudes .. anybody who has ears and something in between will love this.
You'll buy POD and Title TK, their other albums, later but this is your entry point.
