This review refers to The Ground (CD version).

Moving and emotional it is but in a gentle and subtle way .. listen to the melody stated so succinctly in the first track and you will listen on. If you like Jarrett, you will probably enjoy this. It is 'easy jazz listening' but in the best sense .. and the Eicher production is superb .. such presence, such balance .. the drummer is a real musician too
