I love this there isn't a duff track on it. An extremely catchy and fun album.

I bought this album as I was intrigued by their MySpace description of Punk/New Wave/Classical and liked what I heard of the tracks they have up. It's full of lovely, original songs and very cleverly blends the best of indie with classical and african influences with the result that the songs are catchy and memorable. I don't think that there is a bad track on the album but my own personal faves are Walcott, I Stand Corrected and M79.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars get this album.....

This review refers to Vampire Weekend (CD version).

this is probably the best album of the year so far
every tune is a quality song, all written really nicely
the lyrics are a bit.... but the excellent melody makes up for it
this has been in my car for weeks
top tunes: bryn, oxford comma, campus

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars A good mellow rock album but not great my friends!

Top 10 Music Reviewer

This review refers to Vampire Weekend (CD version).

Vampire Weekend have produced a good debut album and they deserve their chart success that they are having. Vampire Weekend have got their own sound which is always nice to hear and write some pretty good songs such as Mansard Roof, Oxford and M79 being my favourites. When they release their second album their tunes and lyrics should improve, so hopefully we will be looking at a 4star or higher album then. Razorlight are a good example of this when you compare their 1st album to their 2nd big improvement between the two. Anyway Vampire Weekend is a good first effort and I look forward to seeing them live at the Eden Project as they are the backing band for the Raconteurs.

I bought this as I thought it was somthing else. Listened it through a couple of times and it's great.

The person that said it's Paul Simon combined with the Strokes hit the nail on the head. Great act, if slightly odd!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Incredibly Catchy

Bought this after hearing A-Punk on Q music channel. Didn't expect too much but i was pleasantly surprised. Everytime you listen to it its like listening to it for the first time again. they just dont get boring.

Top 3 songs: Campus, Walcott and A-Punk

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Great Album

Shame the download costs more than the CD version DELIVERED! Depends if you can be bothered waiting and if you can't you need therapy because you actually own the CD then and you have a back-up.
Anyway, both good buys, CD Version the "weapon" of choice for me.

Hope this helps.
Nick.
