This review refers to
Rock Island.
I have always been impressed with this album because it shows of Tull in glorious light - great songs, tremendoes instumental breaks, character in the lyrics and imagination in arrangement.
Star tracks include the atmosopheric Strange Avenues and the title track Riock Island with its deft changes of pace.
A little rockier and less folky than previous Tull offerings though this is a great dallience into newer territory.
Newer editions include bonus tracks - an added incentive, but the album stands up in it's own right and well worth playing several times as you will discover new qualities with every listen. Great !!!
