This review refers to Buddha Of Suburbia.

This album was made originally as an accompanying soundtrack to the tv production of The Buddha of suburbia, in the event hardly any of the music was used and as a result little of the music from the album gained airtime, whats more it was generally assumed that since it was a soundtrack to a tv production then it would be filled with instrumentals and few vocals, in fact the opposite is the case, this is one of bowies best and most innovative works, it is comfortably in the top ten of his most accomplished albums and according to taste might be in your own top five of his best works, this will not be played once and put away but will provide a rewarding listening experience which you will want to repeat, really a great album which hopefully will get the wider audience it deserves this time round .

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars At last, the long lost classic

This review refers to Buddha Of Suburbia.

David Bowie reckons this is his best album ever and whilst its not quite up their with Ziggy, Low, 1.Outside it is certainly one of the best ever albums released by anyone.

Ignored on its original release as people did not think it was a proper Bowie album it has since only been available by paying large sums or obtaining a cheap counterfiet.

On this album Bowie tackles Jazz and in my humble opinion, this album marked the rebirth of Bowie's creativity leading to great albums like 1.Outside, Earthling and Heathen.

Hopefully its reissue will give it the publicity and recognition the album deserves. Quite simply its a classic.
