Top 100 Music Reviewer

This review refers to Infinity Land (CD version).

no word of a lie, out of all of my 300+ cd collection, this is my favourite. Every song has totally changed my perception on music. even the short "There's No Such Man As Crasp". It starts off with possibly the greatest album opener, "Glitter and Trauma", and carries on delivering through the entire album. the songs also have a tendency to change key about 6 times before the song is over. you could argue it's more experimental than their previous studio effort "The Vertigo of Bliss". whether that is for certain, i'll leave it up to you, but it certainly is a darker album. A lot heavier, and there's some very dark undertones delivered. anyway, like i said, it is my favourite album of all time, and i recommend it to any Biffy fans, or anyone who likes their music on the strange side. before i finish the review however, don't expect it to be like their latest album, "Puzzle", which is a lot more radio-friendly.

hate to say tho, I'm not a big fan of their heavy stuff, but if u are, buy it. Apart from my anti - heavy tastes, there are some more tuneful catchy riffs thrown in that will blow your mind.

well i must disagree with the last review, if only to say this was the first album of the theirs i bought, and i thought it was A1, it had everything i look for in an album, but i prefer to have longer songs (but thats only a minor detail). It had stop starts, rhythm changes. Absolute art rock, what more could u ask for???

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars A risky but successful treat!

oooooo What a teeth drier of an album this was. With already two crictically acclaimed albums on the belt, biffy clyro thought it was time to write an album which merged the two albums together. Yes, thats right, forge the heavy anthemic sounds of "Blackend Sky" with the Punkified twangs of "The vertigo of bliss". Sounded Interesting at first, but risky when listened to, In this album Biffy had literally taken the sounds which made them great, and had given them a "Conceptual" feel to it. "Glitter and Truama" shows just that with its progressve rythums and outspoken lyrics. But luckily some songs bring it back to form such as second single "My recovery injection".

Im not saying the album is a dissapointment, im saying its absolutley brilliant, but only for true biffy fans, first time listeners might not understand the concept of biff's genius which makes the album an aquired taste. If you want to start listening to them, listen to the first two. Otherwise, get ready for something risky, but tasty

Mon the biff!
