With the best indie record and a looooong sell out under their belt, the strokes are looking to expand on there unique debut.

Sadly the end result seems rushed and the album is near identical to is this it, with some stand out tracks. Like The end has no end, where julian casablancas starts calmly and explodes into shouting down the mick. And also 12:51, here we have a very poppy sounding track with bright and brezzy guitar riffs. Other than this the whole album sounds the same. The album sounds more like a collection of b-sides from is this it. Its a shame as it sounds rushed, bland and all too familiar.

1. What Ever Happened? - a nice little opener. not their best but still well worth listening to.

2.Reptilia - One of the best songs on the album. Quite a pacey song.

3. Automatic Stop - id rate this song along similar lines to that of track no.1, not amzing, but still well worth listening to.

4. 12:51 - OK. now this song, is quite probably the best strokes song ever, and therefore of course the best on the album, incredibly catchy, and once you figure out the lyrics you'll like them.

5. You Talk Way Too Much - a good song, the highlight is deffinetly the little guitar solo bits

6. Between Love & Hate - quite a catchy chorus, a very solid song

7. Meet Me In The Bathroom - another quite good song, but unfortunatly not spectacular

8. Under Control - good song, slowish tempo

9. The End Has No End - one the best on the album

10. The Way It Is - another good song, worth listening not as good as some others though.

11. I Can't Win - An amazing song to finish the album with, one of my favourite songs ever. Catchy guitar and clever lyrics

A good album, perhaps a couple of songs that were perhaps rushed though.
