This album has quaility stamped all over it. The guitar is very crisp clean and stripped down unlike what we see on more Powered Blues Albums and it works very well. Moore is a class act and his guitar work on this album is played with utter conviction and feeling with emotion and feeling. One gripe about the album is the fact that 2 songs from Still got the blues re-appear in a different guise which could indicate running out of ideas or fillers which the album did not need. The stand out tracks are 'You know my love' and No Reason to Cry. There are also some very heartfelt tracks which Moore delivers with crisp clear vocals steering away from the powered blues grittier vocal range and again they work very well. A very good and under rated album. One of Moores Best, most sensitive and pure albums. Don't think from tthe references to stripped and subtlety that the guitar licks are toned down - Cut it out is an instrumental of blistering fretwork where Moore stamps his mark to let us… more »

The guitar sounds on this album are superb - in "No Reason To Cry" the guitar is literally crying. And the song "I think it's gonna rain" is very moving and beautiful. Great stuff, Gary!
