Close As You Get (CD version).
I have every GM album and have seen him on every tour since 82. Having had this album nearly a week and had several spins it is a good blues album and recorded in the studio as a Live Band and has a good feel to it in that respect. The contents is a little bit too bluesy for me as the Rock hard edge is missing. The Best Track is the nowhere fast where like 'surrender' and 'Drwoing in tears' the true emotion is captured in GM's guitar work. The rest fall into the heard it all before and although precision instrumentation they don't take us any further than the previous album similar tracks. One thing will be for sure and that is GM and the band will add something else that little bit special to the tracks during his upcoming tour of the Album.. Bring on Manchester Appollo.
Get a little bit angry again Gary!!
