To start let me say I was a huge Yazoo fan in the 80's and still love listening to their work, even though it is sounding dated (in varying degrees) now. Ode To Boy, Winter Kills and State Farm and Situation are my favourite original tracks, so bear that in mind for the comments below.

Situation is a generic house remix, that turns a great song into something very average. Marred at the start by a nasty vinyl skip. 2/5

Goodbye 70's techno'ish remix that turns a dated track into something sounding a lot fresher and worth listening to. Well done for understanding what a remix should do. 4/5

Ode To Boy is an interesting techno mix that works okay as it's own piece of music, unfortunately little of the original remains and certainly none of what made it great. 3/5

Winter Kills, a trip-hop remix, adds distracting dancey layers on top of a track that is too slow to be a dance track. Ruins a great track. 1/5.

Bad Connection, probably my least favourite Yazoo track so whatever gets done to it won't bother me much. This is a pleasant average pop remix that brings a bit of life to the track, but not enough to make me want to listen to it much. 3/5.

State Farm, I just noticed I already have this remix from another EP (now why did I buy this EP?). This is an excellent dance remix from someone who knows how to remix. 5/5.
