I saw Alphabeat at my Works Summer party last week and thought they were really good. Nothing much else like them in the charts at the moment and she has got great presence.
The Male singer seemed to be high as a kite, but still very entertaining. Their voices are really well suited. The chart tracks are very good and the other songs have grown on me now I've heard them a few more times. My kids love singing along in the car too.

     Pop Album Of The Decade

I've been lucky enough to have an advance copy of Alphabeat's debut for a few months now, and can tell you without a shadow of doubt in my mind that it will stand out in no time at all as the pop album of the 2000s.

The album is a near flawless record, overflowing with potential singles. Stand-out tracks are aplenty, with existing singles Fantastic 6, Fascination and 10,000 Nights only the surface of the iceburg. 'Touch Me Touching You' sounds like Wham! for the modern day, a comparison that shouldn't be a compliment but most certainly is here. 'Public Image' could almost be the output of a pseudo-indie band, if only one existed that was willing to actually enjoy making music. 'What Is Happening' could quite possibly be the standout track on the album, if such a thing can exist on such a solid first effort.

'This Is Alphabeat' is an album that doesn't care about image, the opinions of critics, or even having cool influences. Alphabeat make music that makes them happy, and in doing so have made an album you can't help but love.

Definately One of The Best Album's of 2008

God how much do we love Alphabeat!? When they released their fantastic debut single 'Fascination', it was like a breath of fresh air had hit the UK music scene. Followed closely behind by their amazing second single '10,000 Nights of Thunder'.

This was one of the most highly anticipated album's of 2008 and it didn't disappoint. A fantastic debut album!

Tracks that you must listen to are..

    'Fascination'
    '10,000 Nights of Thunder'
    'Boyfriend'
    and 'What Is Happening'

A burst of energy straight from the 1980s!

I writing this fresh from seeing them live last night, and having been a fan of the album anyway, they do not disappoint live either!!

Obviously with such a bright, cheery and solidly 80s sound that alone might put people off, but if you do have a thing for 1980s pop styles then this is a treat for the ears.

The major singles '10,000 Nights', 'Boyfriend' and the awesome simple brilliance of 'Fascination' are a good barometer for the album. But 'Fantastic 6' the opener, though it starts clunky builds to a terrific chant-a-long melody, 'Go-Go' is a real grower as is 'What is Happening'. Their voices are strong, particularly the lead singer, she's really got a strong voice. I had to agree with the last reviewer about the lead male's enthusiasm onstage - he and the others give it their all!!

This album has cheered me up so many times if i'm down, grumpy or just in need of a lift. Not many albums I know can do that so quickly!! I hope they're around for a long time to come!!
