Fans of BBK will be in familiar territory, there are plenty of well known tracks that have been doing the rounds as well as a few new ones just for this album.
JME mixes clever lyrics with plenty of hype, fitting in well with the production. The production itself is top notch, JME, Wiley and Mr. Virgo push some of the buttons and Plastician donates his big track 'clouds', although the lyrics on 'Ghetto Superstar' don't quite match up to the quality of the tune.
Personal favourite is 'Go on my Own' produced by Grime Reaper and 'Sun Sea and Sand' could be a bit of a summer anthem.
Worthy purchase, will be on rotation for a while.
Overall 'Famous?' is a very balanced album. The album contains JME's famous catchy, yet occasionally comical lyrics giving it a great sound, this is highlighted in tracks such as 'Show' and 'Punch In The Face'. However the album is somewhat let down by 'Road Runner' which is repetitive and sounds strange compared to other tracks on the album. To conclude, a balanced and well made debut album, great start, but obviously not in the same league as artists such as Dizzee Rascal, yet.
Jme album famous? i would rate it 7 out of 10 its not bad but its not amazing.
