This review refers to At Sixes And Sevens (CD version).

Morten Veland left Tristania after Beyond the Veil and started Sirenia. Veland was the talented composer in Tristania and as he left, Tristania started declining and Sirenia continued making true "Tristanian" music.

With Sirenia, Veland has chosen to expand the choice of voices to include both the traditional beauty and the beast voices and clean male voice as well. This is done expertly. Also, the record includes a lot of violin, which is just another great instrument to create the right atmosphere. All-in-all, this feels at lot like a Tristania record and will also appeal to the same audience.

The CD ends with one of the best ballads I've ever heard. In Summerian Haze is simply a brilliant piece of gothic atmospheric music. All-in-all, this is one of the best gothic metal CD released and I recommend this to any fan of the genre.

This review refers to At Sixes And Sevens (CD version).

This is one of the best albums I have heard. Amazing musical arrangements meet up with harsh vocals. The album kicks off with one boost. The music draws you in and you feel you have to keep listening. The mix between harsh death growls, clean vocals can female vocals is stunning. Sirenia pull this off superbly. To end it all with a slow song, which in my opinion finishes the album in an stunning way. It may only have 9 tracks, but each one has its own personality and your money is really well spent.
