this is korns first album as a trio, with losing head and david silveria they somehow gain a more rich and deeper sound on the studio album. this cd is a mixture of sounds from previous albums most noticeably untouchables and see you on the otherside. "old skool" korn fans may not respond to this album with praise but it is my personal favourite since issues. the older fans may like the death metal ending to killing even though it is only a short reminder of what korn could be if they chose that path. overall this is a must have for korn fans and if your not a korn fan then this is a great place to start your collection with.stand out tracks include starting over, bitch we got a problem, kiss, hold on, innocent bystander, ever be.... well yeah just about all the tracks are stand out tracks thats why this album has recieved 5 stars.
this is probly 1 of krnz best albums yet but i still think that it could be better.
This album may be diffrent but its still awsome.I have been a Korn fan from the very begining and yes there music has changed over the years but you have to understand that its all about growing and expanding your musical tallent wich i believe korn has managed to do more than once over the years.
This is a must have in the Korn fans collection
As a long term Korn fan I have always awaited their new releases with baited breath, however, after the somewhat disappointing 'Untouchables' it appeared that the band were taking a musical nose dive. 'See You On The Other Side' saw Korn return to their more familiar gothic-pop-rock roots with thick fat crunching guitar riffs and sing along anthemic choruses, although there was still something missing.
'Untitled' takes the blueprint of 'See You...' and perfects it, pairing melodic singing with a touch of the angst ridden 'Life Is Peachy' style vocal abrasiveness whilst mixing in some of those all too familiar crowd sing along choruses. Songs such as 'Evolution' are definite future crowd pleasers.
If you enjoyed anger of Korns debut album, through to the commercial poppiness of 'Follow The Leader' as well as a steady mix of the new gothic romanticism of 'See You On The Other Side', then this is the album for you.
Okay heres the thing...
Korn have been around for well over ten years now and not once have they made a bad album. Okay i will admit that when Head left the music lost a bit but never so much that they wernt korn and SYOTOS wasnt as great as it should of been. This album is great and if you arnt so narrow minded to say 'oh they lost head and they lost david now they suck and so does the music' then you will see that the bands effort on this album as a three peice set is fantastic. They have to change their style because if you keep doing the same thing over and over again then it gets repetative and boring. This album is a change and a good change at that and sounds great.
Buy it if you love Korn
