There's some mournful stuff on here, offset by Joni's lovely voice and guitar playing (I don't think she could hit those high notes anymore after all the cigarettes she's got thru'; like Marianne Faithfull.) The last 3 tracks are the most uplifting: Big Yellow Taxi, Woodstock, and The Circle Game. I don't think her music's dated over the last 35 years.
