The Forgotten Arm.
I own some of Aimee Mann's previous albums so I kind of knew what to expect with this one. Imaginative songwriting and wonderful singing combine to help make this a first class disc. The art direction and album concept is spot on and it's presented like a book.
All the songs on this album are little stories that combine to make one big story that's the album. It's brilliantly done and all the songs are great. A couple of my favourite songs are the gorgeous ballad "That's How I Knew This Story Would Break My Heart", "Video", "I Can't Get My Head Around It" and "Beautiful".
A terrific and amazing album from Aimee Mann who seems to conjure up original ideas in her sleep. And this album is an original idea and it works extremely well. Possibly her finest album to date.
