With the single "Stolen" I really had great expectations of the first album but found it fell short of the mark. A phenomenal surprise, "My Own Way" is beautifully written, his voice evocative and sincere. He shows amazing vocal range in a playful almost flirty nature which blends brilliantly with the more heart-wrenching themes in masterful juxtaposition.I bought it on the strength of "Maybe" and I have not looked back; its a tremendous listen. Ultimately the record resonates and is easily superior to his previous effort. BUY IT.
i would deffo reccomend this 2 anyone, i dont think there is a bad song on here, i listen to him probably everyday for some reason he just cheers me up lo il hope he has a lot more stuff 2 come.
i would highly recommend this cd to people. jay sean has not got one let down song on the album!.
i heard his first song and thought it was brilliant but i didnt think we would hear anything more of him. i dont know why but i have listened to the album and its absolutely amazin!! if you havent heard it yet you really should! im glad he didnt just do one song and disappear!
Jay Sean with this album is quite clearly the face of Brittish R&B. Every track is hard to skip with meaningful, catchy lyrics and modern beats.
