The late eighties and the early nineties was a great time for rock music when I was a young boy coming on teenager. The year 1987 had four rock classics alone which are Whitesnake: 1987, Guns 'N' Roses: Appetite For Destruction, Def Leppard: Hysteria and of coarse this album Joshua Tree. Every song on this cd is wonderful but for me the best are Where The Streets Have No Name, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, With Or Without You and Bullet The Blue Sky. This truly is essential for any rock fan buy now if don't have already.

Best U2 album of all time and best album of all time!

In 1987 when I was 17 I was totally blown away when I first heard it. A masterpiece from start to finish.Besides the obvious tracks that were released there are other excellent songs of Bullet the Blue Sky, Red Hill Mining Town, Trip Through Your Wires and Exit.

Its 10 out of 10, any current U2 doubters or new fans must listen to this before saying anymore. The problem is now they are compared to this album and lets be honest no matter how hard they try will never ever get close to it. That shouldn't suggest they are finished but show just how good Joshua Tree was!

     Excellent U2 album

Joshua Tree is without a doubt one of U2's most defining albums, they expanded their sound even more on this album. Admittedly there are a few tracks on it that I've grown a little weary partly because of their over exposure on radio etc. "Where the streets have no name" and "With or without you" are a bit too radio friendly for me. However there are some terrific tracks on this album namely "Trip through your wires" and "One Tree Hill" which is tribute to Bono's former PA who died. "In God's Country" is terrific aswell, as is "Bullet the blue sky". But perhaps my favourite track though is "Exit" which surely rates as one of the darkest most intense songs the band ever recorded, its a chilling and riveting piece of music.

The Joshua Tree has definitely for me stood the test of time and if you ever own one U2 album this is one to consider.

The album that made U2, fantastic album my favs are The Streets With No Name and With or Without You. This came out in 1987 but it is still a classic even today.
