After enjoying their previous 2 albums I bought this one without reading any of the reviews. Having read them, I'm surprised how mixed they are as this album is quality. It is more electronically tinged than the previous albums (but still has the trademark sound) and all the songs on offer hear are good (if not great) in my opinion. They are a touch more dancy than before and offer some soaring choruses that are hard to forget, over electronic background arrangements. It's all very catchy and memorable stuff which I'm enjoying very much. On the downside the over-use of the disco high-hat percussion beat suggests that they may have be more creative with the beats next time.
An excellent album, despite mixed reviews by so called expert music magazines. Rob Harvey and co. didn't sound this great since the first album, welcome back to one of the best band in Britain. If anyone got to see them live in the future, don't lose the chance, they are absolutely fab.
The Music can do nothing wrong in my opinion. This is a fantastic album packed with addictive songs. Welcome to the North was exceptional but this has surpassed that. Worth the wait. Buy this album!
