For once something positive to come from a social networking site - as I believe Blake were formed as they all met on something like Facebook.

I received this for Christmas and was pleasantly surprised having heard good things about them and I wasn't disappointed.

Their voices gel surprisingly well and I would compare them as the male alternative to All Angels.
The CD contains some simply mesmerising tracks, '1492 Conquest of Paradise' and the hauntingly beautiful 'In Paradisum'. I have heard a few versions of this from All Angels, Sarah Brightman and Blake respectively. All sound different, I really like Blake's but my favourite is Sarah's from her album Eden.

Such a good quality album suggests great things to come for them, and if you are worried because you don't like classical music, this is very easy going and surely a delight for anyone to sit and relax to.

Although many comparisons have been made between Blake and other male crossover groups like G4 and Il Divo, I would urge you not to approach it with the pre-conception that that is what they are. Blake are definitely four charming, eloquent young men but they are also, so much more as you will find out from listening to their album.
They are classically trained singers, each with a distinct voice that blends so perfectly with the others. Although their album contains many well known songs, they have re-arranged and re-worked them to give them their own unique sound and the result is incredible. They show their diversity in the tracks they have selected for the album which covers anthems such as Jerusalem and Swing Low as well as pop songs like Yo Te Voy A Amar and God Only Knows.
