I love this entire album - there is not a single bad track on it, and that is rare these days with so many artists giving us bloated 16 track albums where 4 or 5 can be pure filler.

Here we have 12 track concept style album based around the American small town landscape - somewhat Springsteenish I guess - and it works perfectly.

I could go on and on about each track but my favourites are 'Sam's Town', 'When You Were Young', 'Bling (Confessions of a King), 'For Reasons Unknown', 'Bones', 'My List' and my personal favourite Killers track of all time (so far!) 'This River is Wild'.

At the price you can currently buy it at it's a terrific album for the money, and one you'll listen to over and over!

     Killers at their best.

The Killers are my favourite band and this was actually the first album I bought of theirs after hearing Mr Brightside (my favourite song).
So maybe thats why I seem to be the only person alive that likes this better than Hot Fuss?

Never the less, this album is so easy to listen to you, some songs are just really good to chill out to while others have a good fast beat to them.

Amazing lyrics to match hypnotizing melodies..

This is such a great CD... 5/5

Not quite as diverse and stunning as their first album but still pretty darn good in a different kind of way. Much more mainstream and lack's the raw enthusiasm that came with Hot Fuss.

Key Tracks "When You Were Young", "Uncle Jonny", "Bones", "Read My Mind", "Bling (Confession Of A King)" and "My List".

     the greatest...ever!!!

OK, I can honestly say, that this is the greatest album I have ever had the privilage of listening to!!!

Only the best albums have tracks that can rival the singles, and (in the form of 'This River is Wild', 'Bling', 'Sams Town' and 'My List') this albums does!!! Even the two 'filler' tracks ('Enterlude' and 'Exitlude') are pretty cool in their own way...

I'll admit that my opinion may be a little biased, (as I'm a massive fan of The KIllers), but I truly can't understand why people don't like this album!?! and for the record, the whole idea that this album is a 'Bruce Springsteen Tribute' is stupid!!! Insane even!!!

If I was stuck on a desert island, and was only allowed to take one album (out of every album ever made!!) with me, it would be Sam's Town...

...well, provided there was a CD player on the island... lol...

     Dross

Like others who have reviewed this, I also loved Hot Fuss but sadly this isn't even in the same league. Melodies that aren't in the correct range for his voice, dull guitars, dull music, dull lyrics, very disappointed. Listened to it over and over hoping it would grow on me but no joy. One for the die hards only I think.
