I too am the wife of a member of the british army, my husbands unit served in Afghanistan, where we lost 9 amazing people, 1 of which was my hubby's best friend, we also had over 80 injured, and that is just our unit alone!!! It is so wonderful that the cost to those who serve and their families is being highlighted in such a high profile tv programme and with this song. These guys are fighting for and representing every person in this country as did those in previous wars before them, and it is all of our responsibility to support them in any way we can, i am so pleased they are being honoured in this way, i just hope others follow suit! Many thanks to x factor and grats simon on your award xx

This is a really good version! All of the singers involved have fantastic voices, and it was obviously very emotional. The best bit about this single is that the money goes to Help for Heroes - a charity that provides support for wounded servicemen and women, and the Poppy Appeal.

As an ex soldier i understand what the lads and lasses are doning out there and we should show our support. I don't usauly ask this but we should remember and suport the families of both injured and fallen members of the armed forces.
