The lush intro to self obsession plunges us straight into the sumptousness (is that a word!?) of this band's art form. A sound this tight cannot exist without real chemistry between band members. Most take years to get to this point - the point where individual instruments no longer matter but meld into one - a case of the end result being better than the sum of its parts! But incase you are interested those are a heady mix of dreamy synths, sycopated guitar, plodding basslines and punchy drums. Looking beyond the music itself this group are clearly 'blur'ing the boundaries between art and music to express themselves which is surely what music, if not life, is all about...
