Extremly bland uninspiring songs, instantly annoying. A band who appeal to a mass of teenagers and those in their early 20's who are trying to re-live the 70's instead of embracing modern times and music. This is re-hashed 70's music as is most of this 'indie' genre. Please somebody do something innovative and not rehashed?

Simply super smashing songs. Come on lets all sing together!

Woah....a guy smoking on the cover: how rock n roll....except they don't!!! the singles were tolerable but a whole run thru of this cd is intolerable. The lyrics are like something a kid would write....hang on tho' they are kids.! Ha Ha. People are making a big fuss over this crap when this type of ska/rock has been around since the 70's......when too many people like a band/album you know something is up (eg Robbie Williams) and this is no exception. On you go follow the sheep and buy this crap.....as Mr Weller says 'the public get what the public wants.' I wish I could get back the minutes I've wasted listening to this pee paw p*sh..!!

 Well Done Monkeys!!!

I'm not really a fan of Arctic Monkeys, but I have to say, this album is fantastic!!
Alex Turner is a very talented songwriter, and uses very clever lyrics throughout!! Like I say, I'm not a fan of the band, but I can't get enough of this!!! It'll probably be looked back on in 10 years time as a classic!! (in the same way we look back on Oasis' Definitely Maybe now!!)...

It took me a while to get into 'Riot Van' and 'Perhaps Vampires...', but the rest of the album is simply faultless!! best song, imo, is 'Fake Tales of San Francisco'...

The Sounds of the Steel City

For me, as a Sheffield lad this album captures everything great about the city. The vibe, the people and the excellent social commentary from Turners at time genius lyrics.

 My Favorite Album Ever

This is arctic monkeys best album, this CD is jam-packed with incredible songs. Despite the two most popular songs:
When the SUn Goes Down and Ill bet that you look good on the dancefloor. My favorite song is ritz to rubble!!
