     Escala are just trully amazing

As i said in my title Escala are just trully amazing. After going on Britans got Talent they have just gone from height to height. The music they are producing is to a very high standard and is so pleasing to here. The way in which they perform is very good and I am amazed by what they can do. They are a great group and this is a great CD to listen too.

     Escala have talent

This must be one of the best electronic string quartets I have ever heard. Was sceptical when I first bought the cd that I wouldn`t know any of their music. But I do. All the music on this cd is surely known by everyone. The music to Godzilla (Matthew Broderick) was particularly recognisable also Live and let die, and the beautiful theme music to the movie Platoon.

I don't normally listen to music like this but i fell in love with their music as soon as i heard it.The only down side is that the songs seem very short as other people have stated, still a great cd for relaxing with glass of wine!!

     Too short

Dont get me wrong with only two stars. The music on the album is great. The reason for the low rating is that the album is far too short. Most albums last at least an hour, sometimes longer but Escala is approx a pawltry 40 mins. I always find myself dissapointed when an album is too short. If this doesnt concern you too much then buy it. The music itself deserves a five star rating. Yes, it is full of covers, but thats what you want from a group like Escala. You what a different take on things you have heard before. They are relaxing yet exciting to listen to. Looking forward to their next offering. Just hope they beef it up a bit.

     Beautiful Album

First of all i have to say what a beautiful album it is and i totally understand that the girls decided not to bring it out back in november as it has really been worth the wait. I have always loved escala ever since the britain's got talent days. And after hearing this album i think i could find myself chilled out all the time, all the tracks are amazing and flawless.

     Why all the fuss?

    | | See all delboy1953's reviews (3)

All the fuss as to whether it's good, bad, like Bond, not like Bond etc! Let's look at it constructively: If you bought the album expecting something wonderfully classical, then sorry, you might be disappointed. Personally, I like it. Sounds good, no, not like Bond, something different. But it is good electric violin, etc and good electronic sounds. If you like that kind of music, then it's pretty good for less than 9 pounds!

     JIVE BUNNY mk2

    | | See all philjimi's reviews (6)

I bought this album expecting it to be good............. Oh well........
It isn't bad but it isn't great either ! The 'rock' drumming on some of the tracks makes this sound like a 'jive bunny' album in places ( not that i own a jive bunny album)
Sorry but this is a cash grabber from simon c and co.
Wait a few weeks and it will be in the bargain bin............
If you want a great new album then go for the new Eric Bibb cd 'Live at FIP', now that is pure talent.

' not a bad effort for their 'first album'

Must admit when on 'britains got talent' last year i did think at the time they were good enough to win it outright, taking nothing away from the lad that did.
This album is allmost worth buying for that one 'spectacular' track...'live and let die' ...the up-beat stuff on board 'escala' perform brilliantly, the slower tracks don't work so well for me though.
My music taste is really the 'pop' side of music, on this album the music i recognise i hugely enjoyed ( which is around 50% of the tracks ) afraid the remainder i didn't know so well.
For a first album release, it's good..........i would buy 'escala' again if the 'classic' tracks on the 'cd' are more recognizeable and up-beat.
If you buy..........hope you enjoy the expierience.

     Great album

I really like this album there are some real stand out tracks love track 4 was looking for this song for about a year then out of the blue wham hits me great.

Can I just add to the person who rated one star and others like you. There is no reason to get all sensitive when people experience classical music. Its for everyone to enjoy, it does not have to be as you and others put it real classical, thats for the boring people this is for people who don't normally listen to classical but like the girls and the music they play.

    5/5 great keep it up

     A great first album
