Ive always been a fan of Doves but haven't bought any albums until now. I loved the titled track and had a listen to the other tracks. Jetstream is another good track. Well worth the money! can listen to it over and over. nice one!

I love this album, right from the first play it sounds fantastic. And that might be the problem, immediate can quickly become boring then irritating. Must not over play this album, must not over play this album, must not over play this album

     Immense

Took me a while to get through this album, mainly because I had the first two tracks on repeat. Amazing opening there, and then that high level is maintained throughout the album. Not one duff track, it flows well, theres some catchy numbers and some slightly more mellow songs. Really worth buying, best album out so far this year (not much competition yet though!) Theres lots of other bands out there trying to do this style, but Doves have been doing it far better than em for far longer. Top band, and they aren't half bad live either!

     Great album

Never been a Doves fan but bought this album after hearing the title track and reading strong reviews. I wasn't disappointed. It took a few listens to really get into but now I'm hooked. The songs and production show real craft and there's enough variation of style through the album to keep it interesting.

I must buy this album at the end of the month!

They remind me much of the band called Elbow. I love these guys and this album makes me love them even more - must buy soon! The songs from what I've heard on this album are very powerful, and will definitely bring a smile to your face. I don't see many albums with such charm as this one (well, from the tracks I've heard they've been on the ball so far!) , so it's worth checking out!

Not much else needs to be said apart from...................

To anything else released this year this just screams out 'Come on beat this if you can !'
Every home should have a copy.
This is a quality album and I would like to see the albums which beat this one this year. its rare that you get an album with every track a great one. It took me one listen and has got better with every listen since. 10:03 is a stand out track.

     Best Doves album

An absolute gem of an album; Doves at their best. Standout tracks; Kingdom of rust, Winter Hill, The outsiders and 10:03.

     Fantastic

This album is a true epic. As all Doves albums it draws you in with the first son - Jetstream which is melodic and powerful and then slams you straight into the action of Kingdom Of Rust. Other songs to look for on the album in my opion are; Spellbound, Winter Hill and 10:03. This album totally lived up to my expectations in everyway flowing on from the previous albums which were all good but in my opinion not quite as consistent throughout. This album is an absolute must for music fans.

     Not Quite A Masterpiece

I am a big Doves fan, I particularly love the 1st two albums. This may be a slow burner but I don't agree that the band have reinvented the wheel as has been claimed. They are some very strong songs, particularly, Jetstream, Winter Hill and Spellbound, but a few dodgy ones too, Compulsion. I think The Last Broadcast is their most consistent album to date.

     Spot On.......Again

Maybe a little less inventive than their previous attempts but even so this is a strong contenteder for album of the year, This album really grow's on you, even if you love it the first time like me. Listen to "Spellbound", "Lifelines", "Jetstream" and "Winter Hill" , and you will see why this band deserves so much more credit than they get.

Overall- Great return from one of the best bands of our generation.
