Slipknot headlined the annual Download Festival on June 13th 2009, performing in front of 80,000 of their rabid fans. The performance was absolutely electric, in typical Slipknot fashion, especially since it came hot on the heels of one of the strongest years in Slipknot's illustrious career. It makes perfect sense that the band, known for their eclectic DVD collection, ranging from multi-camera angle concert documents to arthouse-style films, would release (sic)nesses. All Slipknot shows are memorable, but this one is particularly memorable, as the band blasted through hits from all of their albums. On stage is Slipknot in its most natural state and (sic)nesses will put you in the front row. 30 cameras were on hand to capture every possible angle of the band as they motored through their parade of hits; the cameras also caught the fans on tape, as they are just as crucial an element of a Slipknot show as the band members themselves.Perhaps most importantly, (sic)nesses is one of the final major performances for founding member Paul Gray, who tragically passed away in May 2010. While initially unintended, the concert is a testament to the legacy of Gray, where fans can enjoy a lasting glimpse of the bassist doing what he loved most. Additionally, the DVD also includes a 45-minute behind the scenes documentary created by band percussionist Clown, as well as all four music videos from the All Hope Is Gone cycle and the making of the "Snuff."

To be honest I have sat at home after watching the DVD at the exclusive competition win on 21/09/2010 in London and I was buzzing with adrenaline and Goosebumps all over my arms and I am finding it very difficult to get my words together to review this DVD so I will say whatever comes to mind

This DVD is BETTER than Disasterpieces (Slipknots earlier full concert DVD) the way they have captured the bands outstanding performance and the crowd singing along is spot on From the Intro onwards my spine was tingling the whole time and my feet where tapping away with the bass drums along with the head banging that naturally comes with it Not one moment went by where I wouldnt want to jump up and mosh with everyone around me

One big thing I was hoping for was that when Slipknot did the jump the fk up part during Spit It Out that they captured it properly on cam and guess what the cams DILIBERATLEY turned away on the live web feed to save it for the DVD and I tell you this looking at 80000 people jump up in the air is chaotic and crazy

Being a huge Slipknot fan I am glad that I made it to this show back in 2009 and i am even MORE glad that they captured it on video

Caught at the height of their career putting on possibly the best performance of their life along with late Paul Gray

Slipknot fans you will NOT be disappointed with this so scrape some cash together and re-live or experience what it is to see the Insane 9 Member Heavy Metal Machine we know as Slipknot rip the Download Festival apart

I was lucky enough to have witnessed this awesome show at Download 2009. I used to refer to Slipknot as a bit of a novelty act but after 10 yrs of crazy mayhem the 9 masked men of Des Moines are still as insane as ever! This was a fantastic gig as anyone who was there will attest! Definitely worth the money for this DVD. Nice to get the xtra 2nd disc too. R.I.P. Paul Gray.

 Amazing!

Great DVD! Must see performance for any fan of Slipknot and will leave more casual fans with a great respect for seeing just how truly epic the rock gods are in action. Highlights of the DVD personally for me were 'Spit it Out' and 'Psychosocial'!

{sic}nesses is the only live DVD I have ever seen that has fully captured what the show was like. I was there in the pit and this DVD is just the best (and only) was to relive it. The extra features of the documentary, making of, and music videos are also fantastic and help give a further insight into this band and their amazing time that was 2008-2009 which of course peaked with the Download Headline slot. The energy from both the crowd and the band is phenomenal and it is worth purchasing just to see 80,000 people get down on the ground and jump up as one - it's out of this world. Definitely one for the fans but also any fan of music. The DVD also serves as a wonderful tribute to the late Paul Gray, the bassist for Slipknot who very sadly passed away earlier this year. The fans will never forget him.

 Worth every penny!

Bought this a few weeks ago, and knew from the opening minute that it would be a full force Slipknot assault. All the song have so much power and is definitely one of Slipknot's best performances! As good if not better as when I saw them 6 months earlier to this being filmed, but this band can only get better and better. Well worth 14 quid of anyone's money!
