Music DVD
Remember that incredible month where MAGMA booked out this Paris club, changed its program each week, and brought in luminaries from its history to play with the band again? This is it - part deux.
This second week was The Maximum Event, re-uniting the two great juggernauts Christian Vander and Jannick Top. Thus a complete new generation, too young to hear these mythical masters first time round, was able to get to know them, to experience the magic they make, and to taste the pleasure they had in playing together again. Not to be missed under any circumstances, a vie, a mort et apres.
Tracks Include 'Wurdah Itah, 'Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh', Suite Pour Violoncelle', 'Quadrivium', De Futura' and more!

The idea behind these concerts was to do a complete run through of their back catalogue using, where possible, the original musicians. So the return of Jannik Top on bass for some of these tracks is interesting as I never saw Magma back in the day.
MDK is excellent, as ever, but I'm not quite sure why Klaus Blasquiz is not on vocals. He's there, as he appears at some point. Antoinne is a good vocalist, but Klaus is Magma in the same way as Christian is.
