No late-'60s American group ever started with as much musical promise as Blood, Sweat and Tears. Their sound was a true hybrid of rock and jazz, with a strong element of soul as the bonding agent that held it together they played complex, detailed arrangements, guitar solos as well as rhythm accompaniment. Despite this the music produced by Blood Sweat and Tears still elicit a powerful response from those millions who've heard them and the emotion and brilliance is captured in this performance from 1980.
