A british collective formed in Hamburg in 1969 Nektar soon earned a reputation for outstanding visual and musical performances. Nektar's unique brand of psychedelic progressive rock made them an influential band of the genre throughout the seventies and early eighties.
Nektar are very much Nektar, but if pushed, the band could be said to have similarities with Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and Yes - great melodies, crunchy guitar riffs and raging Hammond organ.
'Pure - Live in Germany' is a real treat for fans. Nektar present themselves live in top form, recorded in 2004 at the legendary German TV Rockpalast show.
As a bonus there are 4 unplugged tracks which the band recorded during an unplugged session one day after the concert.
