Maid Marian And Her Merry Men: Series 1 (2 Discs)

This series appeals not only to those that can remember it the first time round but those newly introduced! My eldest neice is hooked and has to watch at least one episode everytime she visits. Suffice to say I will be buying her the boxed set for her birthday in 2 weeks time! 80's nostalgia seems to be 'the thing' at the moment (not that I am complaining) but , for a change to the normal look back at the music of the 80's and new romantic fashions, take a look at Maid Marion, with its original music with definate 80's trends ('Ooh oooh the whitish knight' in a definate Clannad/Robin of Sherwood vibe - Brilliant) and other references to the era it was made in. The humour too is great for children and adults alike - Just Brilliant!

a good collection of an old tv show, fun to watch if you enjoyed the show when you were younger!

I was very lucky to see some good children's TV when I was a kid and this is one of the best.
Tony Robinson writes and stars in this great comedy that borrows and steals so much from Blackadder but for the better of TV.
Great fun for kids and adults as the comedy is not puerile like it is now. With witty banter and songs to keep the kids entertained it is great fun going back a few (well 15) years.
The stories are fun and feel fresh even now, find yourself watching the whole lot on one go, great for a rainy day.
