I'm an IT Manager with 10 years experience, other than breaking open a desktop pc this lindy USB adapter is the best device for performing data recovery, disk imaging.
I've owned many other brands of IDE/SATA adapter, even tried using USB drive caddys, but nothing has been as reliable as my trusty Lindy.
These cost more than the other brands, but are worth every penny.
