When I started looking for a 2.5' 1TB drive, my expectations were that like my 500gb and 250gb 2.5' externals, it would be slim enough to fit in my jacket pocket so I could easily take my data on the go.
Sadly, this isn't the case with the Seagate Expansion Portable 1TB USB Drive. The drive is easily 45% larger all around than the smaller GB drives on the market, making it 'portable' but unfortunately not as slim as one would expect.
That said, the drive performs well, works quickly, consistantly and won't give you any troubles. I'm currently using it as a Time Machine backup for my Mac.
good we device, but after a few months of having it & taking it to friends & family, it doesnt work on all devices,
its doesnt work on ps3, dvd or blu ray players, as there is no power source to give it a signal.. very disappointing..cant take it on holiday as wont work as a portal hard drive on anything except a usb point on your tv....would not buy again.!!!
