If you are using this for DLNA content beware that you cannot organise into directories - it is a flat share. Also true for 1TB version. As Seagate support says....
"The shares are meant to be flat filed, and adding files is not recursive (by design). We've heard requests to make it as such, and allow folders to exist in shares. It's under review and new methods of managing data are being proposed by our product designers... but don't expect these changes soon. Such things take time to design and implement."
What this means is that I can't store /share all my music in a nicely organised way with directories / folders. All the music appears at the same flat level. This makes it a nightmare searching for songs.
If it was not for this it might get 3 or 4 stars. It's not got an inbuilt iTunes server, and it is a little on the slow side, so could never get 5 stars.
