 Brilliant little drives

Top 100 PC Reviewer

I have loads of these wee crackers lying around, from 4gb/32gb and they are amazing. Have even washed and tumble tried a couple and they still work brilliantly. I use them to play movies on my xbox, transfer files at work and even have a 32gb plugged into my BT Homehub 3 for file sharing. My only advise is add a lanyard to the wee blighters as they are easily lost.

 Just Perfect for me!

I bought this tiny device with hesitation due to looking at the other reviews. The device comes with security software installed on it and lots of other files. I deleted all its contents as I thought the security on it was no use to me.
I have seen others write about how slow the transfer speed is, and thought I would test this, I transferred a few folders with multiple documents in each, and it was instantaneous. Although the files were word documents/ presentations etc.
However I did try it with large media files..... such as my video folder which was around 8GB, It said estimated time was 26 mins... then changed to 30 mins... :(

So overall it's brilliant if you want it for storing word documents/ presentations/excel files etc, but not good for transferring media or rather, large amounts of media at one time :/

Hope this helps!!

Great in our HDC500 - Good VFM.

Bought one of these based on price per Gig, for use in music system (Cortex HDC500), especially as it was on offer when I got it so even better value for money. Cheers Play.
Yes the write speed seemed pretty much the same as our other usb drives whilst creating the music DataBase, but once in the HDC500 box it loads the DB much faster than from the others. That load speed is important to us so I was pretty pleased with it.
My only gripe about nearly all these dinky little devices is not having a lanyard included (even though a lot say they do or used to - e.g. HP v165w) and not having a cover (unlike the HP v165w which does) to put on the business end for protection. Come on guys - Sandisk; Verbatim; etc. - listen up.

 extremely slow

Sandisk is a reliable brand and this product looks nice and neat but the write speed on these flash drives is extremely slow,it's the slowest I've ever seen and becomes very annoying when you try to copy files to/from them.
