2 Provides the bare minimumKarmicNomad | 09/03/2014 | See all KarmicNomad's reviews (5)Sure this key does hold data, you can plug it in ok (as long as the piece of plastic locking the plug holds out) and it does whatever any other 10 pound USB stick does..The protection software provided with the key is rubbish! Instead of something like Kingston's Data Traveller that protects the device this writes you data to a file byte by byte encrypting it on the fly. This of course has a massive CPU overhead and is slow and torturous. Once in the locker to view your file you have to copy it back to your PC (unencrypting as you go). This seems a ridiculous way to secure files on such a huge drive.Unless you are planning to protect only a few documents, or 64gigs worth of small text files, or you work at NASA and have access to one of their super computers I wouldn't recommend this.If I had my money again I would go for a more expensive key with better integrated security or forget the security altogether and get something cheaper.
