This External DVD/CD-RW USB Drive is an excellent option for modern laptops with a USB connection.

This light and compact drive is the perfect companion for reading DVDs and reading/writing CD's while on the move. Powered directly from the USB cable, it comes with an AC adaptar if you want to use it from the mains. With a slim shape and nice, black finish it is the ideal choice for burning and watching CD/DVD while mobile.

The majority of laptops can power the drive from the USB connection alone, however some will need the included AC power adapter.

Bought this for my daughter and shes really pleased with it, she said it was really easy to use, you just plug it in and its ready. She has a Samsung nc10 mini netbook which doesn't come with a disc drive, she just connected the external drive via usb and downloaded Office Professional onto her netbook without any problem and she said it was quite fast too. She also liked the fact that its small and slim, making it very portable. She couldn't find a fault with it at all, so going by her review on this disc drive...I've just ordered another one for my other half who has exactly the same netbook as my daughter. And the price is really good from Play.com.

Plug and play worked straight away. Very small and only needed the USB cable power. Worked fine with my ACER 3023 which plays DVDs now with a stutter. This little unit played back smoothly and quietly. Very impressed. Feels solid enough.

I think this product is really good but as soon as i up plug it i have to restart my computer to get it working again but on the whole it is really good
