Gigabyte GM-M7700 2.4GHz Wireless Laser Mouse USB / Black

This Gigabyte mouse is pretty sweet!

The mouse feels sturdy, all the button have a good positive clicking action but are easy to press, and the scroll wheel has a great detent (click) but still scrolls smoothly and feels well built. The scroll wheel also has a rubber strip round it (much like a tyre) so feels very nice under the finger.

It takes two AAA batteries, so has just enough weight to it without feeling too light or too heavy.

It's about halfway in size between your usual portable mouse and a proper desktop mouse. If you have small to medium hands you'll probably be ok using it for extended periods, but if you have large hands it will be too small unless you adopt the 'crab' grip method!

My only gripe is the software - I downloaded the latest version from the Gigbyte website, as I would have like to set the left and right tilt action on the scroll wheel to something other than horizontal scrolling, but there is no option to change that.

However, all in all, a great mouse for less than 20 quid, which easily punches above it's weight. You could pay another 30 quid or so for a Logitech mouse, but you'll be pretty happy with this one (and have enough money spare to buy yourself a treat).

p.s. Play, sort out your review panel, why can't I enter the 'pound' sign?? Very strange!

I bought this mouse to replace one from Windows, and I haven't looked back since. The scroller would often get stuck, it wasn't comfortable to hold for extended periods of time, and the USB dongle was bulky and intrusive, often causing problems when I wanted to move my laptop to another surface. This one is a large improvement thanks to its firm, comfy grip, a tiny and more asthetically pleasing dongle, and a stirdy scroller. It was easy to set-up too, no annoying CD installation required. I would recommend it to anyone on the market for a wireless mouse.

I have had this mouse for around 6 months and i have to say that it is a very good wireless mouse, it has excellent features such as:
great battery life
excellent ergonomics
easy and quick to use
durable - i dropped it into a cup of hot tea (fully submerged) took the battery life out and left for a few days and is as good as new.

--Extremely easy setup - Connect mouse, pop disc in & install drivers (Less than 2 minutes)
--Feels great in the hand - Grooves and curves fit hands perfectly
--Excellent cordless connectivity - Connection between mouse and receiver is great even from far
--Very good scroll wheel - Very responsive and multifunctional
--Good DPI Settings - Can be switched very easily with the DPI button
--Excellent Laser - Works on many surfaces (Table, Mouse-pad, Bed, Floor etc...)
--Great for general use, gaming and photo editing (with lower DPI setting)

--One small flaw - Spring under the right click button makes odd sound when finger lifts off (not very noticeable)

--Overall, a really excellent mouse worth more than the cheap sale price!

I wanted to get a wireless mouse as I got tired of plugging my existing one in each time I got my laptop out. I knew what I wanted but did not know which supplier to go for. I purchased on the basis of the previous good reviews and have been very pleased. It is easily the best mouse I have ever purchased. Has a good feel, nice clicking action, is responsive and Windows 7 installed the appropriate drivers automatically as soon as I plugged in the USB receiver. It even came supplied with 2 Duracell batteries rather than cheap branded ones. I cannot fault this mouse at this price and would definitely recommend.
