Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000

The mouse comes with 2 AAA batteries and a nice soft pouch to carry it in. Very simple to install, just pair with computer. No need for any drivers.
The mouse itself works very well, but is a little small compared with a normal mouse, around 3/4 sized but it is meant to be a notebook mouse. The mouse also has a nice 'back' button on the left hand side, great for web browsing.
All in all I would recommend this mouse.

I started using this mouse within seconds in MacOS 10.5 Leopard on a MacBook Pro, paired with no problems, the mouse reconnects almost instantly after coming out of standby. The side button is great for expose, in my opinion this is an excellent alternative to Apple's Mighty Mouse.

I wish I was as happy with the performance under Windows XP (you would think a microsoft mouse would work perfectly right?) took me 20 minutes and two restarts to get it paired and installed correctly, but it still seems to have problems reconnecting after not using the mouse for a while.

Well I got this mouse and had it up and running with in minutes. It has an on/off switch to save power and a pairing button.

I've so far added it to 2 of my XP laptops. What is great is you can be using the laptop touch pad, switch on the mouse and within seconds it is moving the pointer. No mucking about with accept boxes or pairing. Pair it once and you are working.

To pair is easy, switch on the mouse, hit the bluetooth button underneath and then get your pc/laptop to scan for new devices.
It prompted me to put in a pin, but that must be a standard message as obviously a mouse cant enter a pin so it went on and installed it.

One of my better purchases I think. No dongles to loose just a mouse.

I would recommend this to anyone who has a laptop with Bluetooth or has got a PC with limited desk space.
It is very responsive and very accurate, I am very impressed with this little gadget, well worth the money.

If anyone is planning on using this with vista you may have problems, I could connect to it but not use it as vista didnt detect it as a mouse, this will happen if you install the 938371 update from windows update, otherwise cant really complain, just wish it had a forward button to go along with the back button
