The Keyboard Dock is a dock for charging your iPad, integrated with a full-size keyboard. The dock has a rear 30-pin connector, which lets you connect to an electrical outlet using a USB Power Adapter, sync to your computer and use accessories like the Camera Connection Kit. And an audio jack lets you connect to a stereo or powered speakers.

Really loved it....
I only have an iPhone but it means I can take my iPhone into lectures and take all my notes on it.

I did, however, need to upgrade my iPhone 3gs's operating system to 4.2.1 for it to work.

All in all, it has been a very good purchase and well worth it for me.

Overall this is first class.
However there are some things to know before you buy.
The main thing is it is unlikely to charge through the PC/Laptop USB connection.
Having done Google searches it seems to be a very common problem i.e. iPads not charging through the Dock via USB to PC.
One of many comments is:
The iPad is designed to charge from the 10-watt wall adapter it comes bundled with, but many USB ports supply only 2.5 watts (5 volts at 500ma).
There also seem to arguments that the front USB ports produce less Voltage than the rear ones so I tried the rear USB ports but still had the same problem!!
The second issue is that it only docks vertically.
The third issue is The keyboard dock has three points of interface, at face value no issue there: these are the dock connector for the iPad, the dock connector for your power brick/computer, and a line out port for external speakers.
As an aside the iPad dock connector is a relatively snug fit, which unfortunately means you'll have to remove Apple's case before docking your iPad.
The line out port is the strangest of them all.
When in use, you lose the ability to adjust volume on the iPad. Either via the volume rocker or the hotkeys on the keyboard, you can't adjust volume. It defaults to four bars and anything more you have to adjust on your speakers.
You can still mute audio however.
For all of this I'm very happy but I would have liked to have been aware of these points before I bought!!!
